Lympne Castle is seeking an experienced Junior Sous Chef to help lead a talented culinary team. You will craft exquisite dishes for retail outlets and various events, from weddings to corporate gatherings. This role emphasizes leadership, teamwork, and excellence in cuisine, ensuring the highest quality in taste and presentation.
The position requires strong leadership and cooking skills, a passion for culinary arts, and the ability to work under pressure in a fast-paced environment. A competitive salary of £42-45k annually is offered, depending on experience.
Working closely with our Culinary Knight (Head Chef) & Deputy Culinary Knight (Sous Chef), this position will be responsible for helping to lead the talented culinary team at Lympne Castle covering retail outlets as well as events. Together, you will be crafting exquisite and innovative dishes that reflect the rich heritage and elegance of our historic castle and surrounding area. You will be capable of leading a team to prepare exceptional menus for our valued retail outlets and to cater to a variety of events, including but not limited to weddings, corporate gatherings, private dinners and public dining experiences.
Pay: £42-45k annually (DOE, includes Salary + Minimum Monthly Guaranteed Bonus)
Hours: 48 hours per week.
This is a 7-day /week hospitality operation. As such, weekend and evening work is required.
A reliable method of transport is recommended due to the remote location and shift work.
