Job summary

Spring Street Pizza Bar is launching this autumn and seeks a Junior Sous Chef to lead a section and help drive our small plates concept. You’ll work closely with the Head Chef in a tight-knit team, handling daily prep, production of housemade items and ensuring flawless service.

The role is full-time at 50 hours per week with service charge included. Enjoy a kitchen culture focused on quality, efficiency, and continuous improvement in a dynamic New York–Italian bar setting.

Qualifications

• Solid cooking experience at least Chef de Partie level.
• Strong knife skills and attention to detail in food preparation.
• Ability to work efficiently under pressure and stay organised.
• Good understanding of food hygiene and safety standards.

Responsibilities

• Run your section confidently and consistently through service.
• Prepare housemade produce to a consistently high standard.
• Carry out mise en place and ingredient prep for smooth service.
• Maintain food safety, hygiene and kitchen organisation.
• Collaborate with Head Chef to ensure consistency and quality across dishes.
• Support stock rotation, storage and waste minimisation.
