Job summary

Mitchells & Butlers is seeking a Junior Sous Chef at the Hand & Sceptre to lead a kitchen section, train team members and ensure guests receive high-quality meals.

You will work in a busy, fast-paced environment, cooking to brand standards, managing stock, and supporting with ordering, with clear opportunities for progression and paid qualifications within a premium pub group.

• Experience in a busy kitchen environment.
• Ability to lead a section and train staff.
• Passion for delivering high-quality food.
• Flexible and proactive team player.

Responsibilities

• Run your kitchen section as a team leader and develop management and leadership skills.
• Cook to brand standards and work within brand targets.
• Support the chefs in your team to deliver top-quality standards on every shift.
• Assist with stock control and ordering to set you up for success.
