Mitchells & Butlers PLC, at The Oatsheaf in Fleet, is seeking a Junior Sous Chef to run a kitchen section, uphold brand standards and lead a small team to deliver high-quality dishes in a busy pub setting.

This role offers live-in accommodation, flexible shifts, and opportunities to gain qualifications while advancing leadership skills and progression toward Head Chef roles.

Qualifications

• Experience in high-volume restaurant kitchen preferred.
• Passion for great food and guest service.
• Willingness to train and lead junior team members.

Responsibilities

• Lead a kitchen section and maintain brand standards.
• Assist with stock control and ordering.
• Support chefs and train team during shifts.
• Ensure meals are prepared to brand spec and quality.

What will I be doing? As Junior Sous Chef you’ll…

• Be a champion of brand standards.
• Cook to spec and work within brand targets.
• Support the chefs in your team to deliver top quality standards on every shift.
• Run your own section as a kitchen team leader and develop management and leadership skills.
• Support with stock control and ordering so you’re set up for success.
