Job summary

VNI Legal in Glasgow seeks a junior solicitor to join the Property and Professional Liability team. The role involves handling property and professional liability disputes, including unlitigated and litigated matters, with opportunities to work independently and with Partners on high-value claims.

You will manage cases from pre-litigation to settlement, coordinate with departments, and advise clients on liability, causation, quantum and strategy.

Qualifications

• Law qualification with Practising Certificate issued by the Law Society of Scotland.
• Experience handling claims related to property and professional liability.
• Familiar with Court of Session and Sheriff Court procedures.
• Strong client-focused approach with clear communication.

Responsibilities

• Manage a varied caseload of claims.
• Work under partners on multi-million pound matters.
• Provide high-quality advice and draft pleadings.
• Instruct witnesses and liaise with counsel when needed.
• Prepare for hearings and monitor critical dates.
