Job summary

Frasia Wright Associates in Glasgow is seeking a Professional Indemnity Solicitor to join its growing PI team. The role is suitable for newly qualified solicitors or junior associates aiming to develop expertise in professional indemnity within construction, engineering, and professional services sectors.

The successful candidate will handle defence of professional negligence claims for construction professionals, advise insurers on coverage issues, and manage litigated matters in the Sheriff

Qualifications

• Scottish qualified solicitor with up to 3 years' PQE.
• Experience in litigation or construction-related disputes is advantageous.
• Strong analytical and drafting skills with excellent communication.

This specialist law firm is recruiting a Professional Indemnity Solicitor to join its growing team in Glasgow. This is an excellent opportunity for a newly qualified solicitor or junior associate to develop expertise within a highly regarded professional indemnity practice, working on complex and high-value claims across the construction, engineering and professional services sectors.

Key Responsibilities:

• Defending professional negligence claims on behalf of construction professionals, including architects, engineers, surveyors and contractors
• Advising insurers and clients on professional indemnity policy coverage and liability issues
• Managing litigated matters in the Sheriff Court and Court of Session, including drafting pleadings, legal advice and client correspondence
• Supporting partners and senior lawyers on complex disputes while building strong relationships with insurer and professional clients

Applicants should be Scottish qualified solicitors with up to 3 years’ PQE. Experience in litigation, commercial disputes, insurance litigation, professional negligence or construction-related disputes would be advantageous. Candidates should possess strong analytical and drafting skills, excellent communication abilities, and a genuine interest in the construction, engineering and insurance sectors.
