We are seeking a Junior Software Engineer for a leading client based in the West Midlands. The role involves developing back-end technology solutions, collaborating with stakeholders, product management, and engineering teams. Responsibilities include designing and implementing solutions to meet business needs and maintaining existing services.

Responsibilities

• Support and maintain existing products and resolve live issues.
• Adapt to development methodologies, including waterfall and agile.
• Work with server-side technologies like ColdFusion, PHP, Java.
• Use client-side technologies such as HTML and CSS.
• Manage version control with Git and Subversion.
• Work with relational databases like MySQL and Microsoft SQL.
• Communicate effectively with technical and non-technical stakeholders.
• Utilize back-office technologies in business environments.
• Use agile tools such as Jira, Confluence, Slack, GitHub, Azure DevOps, Trello.
• Work in fast-paced environments.
• Experience with front-end JavaScript frameworks (jQuery, React, Vue, Angular).
• Proficiency with server-side frameworks like Laravel and ColdBox.
• Experience with Linux distributions (RedHat, CentOS, Debian).
• Knowledge of CSS frameworks like Bootstrap, Tailwind, Foundation.
