2nd Line IT Technician

Oldbury, West Midlands (Hybrid)

£30,000 - £35,000 p/a

Bell Cornwall Recruitment is working with an MSP IT support function based in Oldbury, West Midlands. They are seeking an experienced 2nd Line IT Technician to join their team.

Duties and responsibilities include (but are not limited to):

1. Handling escalated queries and issues from 1st line support efficiently
2. Building rapport and relationships with service users and key stakeholders
3. Meeting SLA targets and participating in process improvements
4. Deploying and installing to new and existing clients
5. Occasional weekend support at football matches

The successful candidate will have:

• At least one industry-recognized qualification, such as CompTIA A+, N+, Microsoft MCP, MCSA, MCSE, or Level 3 BTEC Extended Diploma in Network Management & Security
• 2-3 years of experience within a managed service provider environment
• A full, clean driving license and own transport for client site visits
• Willingness to travel to the Oldbury office three times a week and work weekends on a rota (approximately once a month)
• Experience in a client-facing role with strong rapport-building skills
