Findmypast is seeking a Junior Software Engineer to join the Product & Technology team in a hybrid role. You will design, develop, test and maintain software that delivers real value to customers worldwide, with coaching from experienced engineers and hands-on experience across the software development lifecycle.

You may come from university, apprenticeship or early-career roles, and you will grow through mentoring and development in a modern engineering environment.

Qualifications

• Exposure to software development through coursework, projects, placements or apprenticeships.
• Knowledge of at least one programming language and willingness to learn others.
• Understanding of software development principles and modern engineering practices.

Responsibilities

• Develop, test and maintain software components and services.
• Contribute to customer-facing products and internal platforms.
• Collaborate with engineers, product teams and stakeholders to deliver high-quality solutions.
• Participate in code reviews, testing activities and releases.
