Helic & Co is seeking a driven Junior Software Developer to join our growing engineering team. You will work with experienced developers to design, build, and maintain scalable software applications in a hands-on, learning-focused environment.

This entry-level role offers mentorship, agile collaboration, and exposure to modern programming languages. A relevant degree and 0–2 years' experience is expected, with a passion for problem solving and a proactive approach to learning.

Qualifications

• Degree or Diploma in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or equivalent practical experience.
• 0–2 years of software development experience (including internships, co-op terms, or significant personal projects).
• Solid understanding of OOP, data structures, and algorithms.
• Familiarity with version control systems (Git) and basic SQL concepts.

Responsibilities

• Write clean code, test, and maintain high-quality, efficient, and well-documented code.
• Support the Team: Assist senior developers in debugging, troubleshooting, and resolving software defects.
• Collaborate: Participate in daily stand-ups, code reviews, and agile planning sessions.
• Learn & Adapt: Quickly pick up new technologies, frameworks, and development best practices.
• Document Processes: Help maintain technical documentation, API specs, and user guides.
