Job summary

Pimberly in Manchester is seeking a Junior Full Stack Developer to join our growing Development team. This role is ideal for someone early in their software career who is passionate about technology and eager to learn.

You’ll work with experienced developers to build, maintain and enhance our next-generation SaaS platform while developing your technical skills through mentoring, training and real-world experience.

Qualifications

• A degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering or a related discipline, or equivalent practical experience.
• A basic understanding of web development concepts.
• A willingness to learn modern software development technologies and frameworks.
• Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
• Good communication and teamwork skills.
• A genuine enthusiasm for technology and continuous learning.

Responsibilities

• Work alongside experienced developers to deliver new features and enhancements.
• Assist in developing and maintaining front-end applications using React.
• Support the development and maintenance of APIs and backend services.
• Help identify, investigate and resolve software bugs.
• Write clean, well-structured and maintainable code with guidance from senior team members.
• Contribute to unit testing and quality assurance.
• Help maintain and support existing applications and services.
• Participate in Agile ceremonies including daily stand-ups, sprint planning and retrospectives.
• Learn new technologies and development practices through mentoring and training.
• Collaborate with Product, QA and Support teams to understand customer requirements.
