Job summary

BAE Systems Digital Intelligence is seeking a Junior SOC Analyst to join our Leeds-based SOC, with on-site work and potential for clearance-supported duties. You will monitor security events, investigate incidents, and contribute to remediation and reporting efforts across Azure and AWS environments.

The role requires familiarity with Python, Splunk, and threat intelligence, plus the ability to communicate findings to stakeholders and work within a hybrid and security-cleared environment.

Qualifications

• Proficiency with scripting and security tooling.
• Experience investigating alerts and incidents.
• Knowledge of cloud platforms (AWS/Azure) and OS concepts.

Responsibilities

• Monitor, triage, analyse and investigate alerts and network traffic.
• Categorise incidents per policy and document findings.
• Assist remediation and coordinate with stakeholders to secure systems.
• Produce incident review reports with improvement recommendations.
• Support national-scale incident responses when needed.
• Collaborate with multiple teams to enhance SOC services.
