Job summary

Ernest Gordon Recruitment Limited is seeking a Junior Service Engineer (Mechanical / Electrical) in Ashford. The role involves servicing and repairing vacuum packaging machinery and tabletop slicers at customer sites, plus workshop work and ongoing training.

You will cover a local Southeast patch, with a Monday–Friday 7am–4pm schedule and a 1-in-5 on-call rota. This is an excellent chance to gain structured training and progression toward a Multi Skilled Engineer position.

Qualifications

• Mechanical or electrical background with hands-on training
• Willingness to undertake internal training and shadow experienced engineers
• Ambition to progress into a Multi Skilled Engineer role

Responsibilities

• Carrying out servicing, maintenance and repair of vacuum packaging machinery and tabletop slicers at customer sites
• In the workshop, perform repairs and refurbishments
• Ongoing training through shadowing experienced engineers
• Covering a local patch across the Southeast
• Monday to Friday 7am-4pm, 1-in-5 on-call rota
