NLCS is seeking a Junior School Teaching Assistant to join our team on a full-time basis from September 2026. The successful candidate will support pupils across all year groups, with initial focus on Key Stage 1, helping to create a positive, engaging and inclusive learning environment.

The role requires experience with primary-aged children, a good understanding of the curriculum, and a commitment to contributing to the wider life of the school. This is a term-time post with INSET days.

Qualifications

Responsibilities

• Initially support pupils within Key Stage 1 to create an engaging, inclusive learning environment.

JUNIOR SCHOOL TEACHING ASSISTANT

Working Full Time 8.15am – 4.00pm daily

Term time only, plus 5 INSET days and 3 days to be worked in the holidays

FTE Salary £28,517 – 31,477. Actual pro rated salary £22,289 - £24,603

We are seeking to appoint an enthusiastic and dedicated Teaching Assistant to join our team on a full-time basis from September 2026.

The successful candidate will have experience working with primary-aged children and will be confident supporting pupils across all year groups. They will possess a good understanding of the primary curriculum and the role of a Teaching Assistant both within and beyond the classroom. Flexibility, commitment, and a willingness to contribute to the wider life of the school are essential qualities for this position.

Initially, the role will involve supporting pupils within Key Stage 1, helping to create a positive, engaging, and inclusive learning environment in which all children can thrive.
