Job summary

Inspired Education Group’s Wetherby Preparatory School in London is seeking a Junior Master/Mistress to join the team from January 2027 on a fixed-term basis. The role supports the school, teachers, and curriculum, assisting with supervision, classroom preparation, and administrative tasks.

The ideal candidate will have completed secondary education, be able to work well in a team, and relate positively to children and adults.

Qualifications

Completed secondary education.
Able to work constructively as part of a team, understanding classroom roles and responsibilities.
Able to use basic technology - video, photocopier.
Ability to relate well to children and adults.
Appropriate knowledge of first aid.

Responsibilities

Support for the School: comply with safeguarding, health and safety, and confidentiality policies; support equal access to learning; assist with pupil supervision before/after school; participate in meetings and training.
Support for Teachers: prepare classrooms for lessons; report pupil progress to teachers; assist with record keeping and classroom management; liaise with parents/carers; provide clerical support.
Support for the Curriculum: help pupils understand instructions; prepare and maintain equipment and resources; assist pupils in using materials.
