Job summary
Gateley is seeking a junior Solicitor (0-2 PQE) to join our Nottingham Real Estate Development team. You will advise on commercial, residential and mixed-use developments, supporting strategic land transactions and complex asset management matters.
You will work with partners across Gateley’s national Real Estate practice, gaining hands-on mentoring and contributing from land assembly through funding, development and disposal. Strong commercial awareness is essential.
Qualifications
- Ambitious solicitors who are newly qualified or up to 2 PQE with an interest in development and strategic land matters in England and Wales.
- Experience in commercial real estate including acquisitions, disposals, development agreements and landlord/tenant work is advantageous.
- Strong analytical and commercial judgement with a proactive approach.
- Able to work collaboratively with partners and junior team members.
Responsibilities
- Advise on commercial, residential and mixed-use developments.
- Support strategic land transactions, including promotion, option and collaboration agreements.
- Work on site assembly, acquisitions, disposals and regeneration projects.
- Draft and negotiate leases, licences and other asset management documentation.
- Draft and negotiate development agreements, joint ventures and profit share arrangements.
- Advise on development finance, forward funding, investment and pre-let transactions.
- Undertake due diligence and manage appropriate aspects of transactions.
- Collaborate with planning, construction, finance and tax specialists.
