Job summary

Mercedes-AMG PETRONAS F1 Team is seeking a Junior Race Team Support Technician in Brackley to maintain and develop travelling pit equipment, with a focus on maximising vehicle performance and user efficiency. The role sits within the factory-based Race Team Department and reports to the Race Team Project Coordinator.

The ideal candidate will have proven experience in composites, fabrication and machining, with the ability to interpret engineering drawings, and may have welding experience; strong

Qualifications

• Must have proven experience in composite fitting, fabricating and machining to a high standard.
• Ability to interpret engineering drawings.
• Welding experience would be an advantage but is not essential.
• Demonstrable experience working both independently and in a team.
• Good interpersonal skills and effective communication to meet deadlines.
• Proficient knowledge of Microsoft Office and IT would be an advantage.

Responsibilities

• Support Race Team with composites, fabrication and machining of pit equipment projects.
• Assist with build and servicing of pit equipment assemblies.
• Machining of small components and modification of pit assemblies.
• Maintain component quality and seek process improvements.
• Assist with day-to-day factory Race Team activities.
• Occasional travel to race events may be required.
