Job summary

Mercedes-AMG PETRONAS F1 Team in Brackley is seeking a Customer Race Team Support Technician for the Car Build department. The role involves attending races and tests to support the customer at the track or factory in Brackley on a 12-month fixed-term contract, ideally starting November 2026.

You will work on preparing gearbox sub-assemblies, performing builds, and ensuring quality via sign-off procedures, while using SAP for build sheets.

Qualifications

• Previous F1 experience is highly advantageous.
• Sound knowledge of quality systems.
• Excellent attention to detail and accuracy.
• Strong computer skills.
• SAP experience.

Responsibilities

• Prepare main cases for build and assemble gearbox sub-assemblies with quality checks.
• Build and set up gearbox assemblies with proper documentation.
• Change gearbox ratios.
• Fit hydraulic systems and bleed.
• Measure, shim and fit clutch packs.
• Attend race and test events to support the team.
• Report issues or failures clearly.
• Ensure builds follow latest specifications.
• Create build sheets in SAP and check mileage for events.
• Maintain tidy workstation and sign-off procedures.
