Job summary

Mercedes-AMG PETRONAS F1 Team is seeking a Customer Race Team Support Technician to join the Car Build department in Brackley. The role covers building gearbox sub-assemblies, hydraulic systems, and race-event support, with a 12-month fixed-term contract starting from November 2026.

You will work to latest specifications, use SAP for build sheets, maintain high quality, and attend races and tests as required. A background in F1 and strong attention to detail are highly valued.

Qualifications

• Previous experience in an F1 environment would be highly advantageous.
• Sound knowledge of quality systems.
• Excellent attention to detail and a commitment to accuracy.
• Strong computer skills.
• SAP experience.

Responsibilities

• Prepare new main cases for build and gearbox sub-assemblies with required quality checks.
• Build and set-up gearbox assemblies with proper documentation.
• Change ratios on gearbox assemblies.
• Hydraulic system fitment and bleeding.
• Measure/shim and fit clutch packs.
• Attend races/tests to support the Race Team.
• Report issues or failures clearly and promptly.
• Ensure build quality uses sign-off procedures and latest specs.
