Job summary

Mercedes-AMG PETRONAS F1 Team is seeking a Junior Race Team Support Technician to maintain and develop pit equipment, focusing on performance and user efficiency. You will support composites, fabrication and machining, and assist with pit equipment assemblies at our factory in Brackley.

The role emphasises teamwork, high attention to detail, and the ability to interpret engineering drawings; welding is a plus.

Qualifications

Must have proven experience in composite fitting, fabricating and machining to a high standard.
Ability to interpret engineering drawings.
Welding experience would be an advantage.
Demonstrated ability to work both independently and in a team.
Proficient in Microsoft Office and general IT skills.

Responsibilities

Supporting all other members of the Race Team with composites, fabrication and machining of new and existing pit equipment related projects.
Assisting with the build and servicing of pit equipment assemblies.
Machining of small new components and modifying existing pit equipment assemblies
Proactively maintain the good quality of components and continuously look for opportunities of improvement and innovation on current processes
Actively assisting with day to day factory based Race Team activities
Some travel to race events may be required
