Job summary

Mercedes-AMG PETRONAS F1 Team in the United Kingdom is seeking a Junior Race Team Support Technician to join our factory‑based Race Team Department. You will support composites, fabrication and machining of pit equipment, assist with builds and servicing, and machine small components to precise standards, ensuring high quality and timely delivery.

We look for an enthusiastic, detail‑oriented learner with strong teamwork; experience with composites and machining is essential, welding is a plus.

Qualifications

• Proven experience in composite fitting, fabricating and machining to a high standard.
• Ability to interpret engineering drawings.
• Welding experience would be an advantage but is not essential.

Responsibilities

• Support all Race Team members with composites, fabrication and machining of pit equipment projects.
• Assist with build and servicing of pit equipment assemblies.
• Machining of small components and modification of pit equipment.
• Maintain quality of components and look for improvements in processes.
• Support day-to-day factory Race Team activities and travel to events if required.
