Job summary

IPS, a Berkshire Hathaway Company, seeks a Quantity Surveyor I to join its Commercial Department in Manchester, UK. You will assist with budgets, cost control, and client reporting on life sciences projects.

The role requires 2–5 years of experience, ARM4/ARM5 knowledge, and a degree in Quantity Surveying. Exposure to MEP cost estimating systems is preferred. On-site work with project teams is expected.

Qualifications

• 2–5 years of industry experience in quantity surveying or cost control.
• Knowledge of ARM4 & ARM5 contracts and cost management.
• Preferred exposure to MEP and cost-estimating systems.
• Bachelor’s degree in Quantity Surveying or related discipline.

Responsibilities

• Assist with valuation of construction works and project budgeting.
• Prepare cost management budgets and reports for clients.
• Support change management and document control.
• Coordinate input information for cost management processes with project teams.
• Monitor budgets, track variances, and assist in bid analysis.
