Job summary

Jo Holdsworth Recruitment Ltd. is partnering with a Leeds City Centre based chartered surveyors to recruit an Entry Level Quantity Surveyor. This role offers structured training, professional support, and exposure to a wide range of projects within the construction sector.

You will assist with cost estimates, budgets, tender documents, measurements and valuations, and help manage project costs to stay within budget while developing your knowledge of contract administration and procurement.

Qualifications

• A degree in Quantity Surveying or related construction discipline.
• Prior office experience in the property sector is desirable.
• Strong numerical and analytical skills.
• Excellent written and verbal communication.
• Ability to work as part of a team and on your own initiative.
• Keen interest in the built environment and a career in quantity surveying.

Responsibilities

• Assist in the preparation of cost estimates, budgets, and tender documents.
• Support all internal team members.
• Support the measurement and valuation of works in progress.
• Help in managing project costs to ensure they remain within budget.
• Prepare interim and final valuations, variations, and cost reports.
• Liaise with clients, contractors, and other project stakeholders.
• Gain experience with contract administration and procurement.
• Contribute to risk management and value engineering activities.
