Job summary

Daniel Owen Ltd in Redhill is seeking a Junior Quantity Surveyor to join its commercial team. This role offers hands-on experience within a growing drylining and interior fit-out contractor, working closely with senior surveyors on multiple projects.

Applicants should be a recent Quantity Surveying graduate or at the start of their commercial career, with strong numeracy, communication and IT skills, and a desire to develop a career in construction.

Qualifications

• Degree in Quantity Surveying or related construction discipline (essential).
• Previous industry experience beneficial but not essential.
• Strong numerical and analytical skills.
• Good communication and organisational abilities.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office.
• Ambitious, motivated, and eager to develop a career within quantity surveying.

Responsibilities

• Assist with the commercial management of multiple projects.
• Support the preparation of valuations, applications for payment, and final accounts.
• Assist with the pricing and management of variations.
• Monitor project costs and help produce cost reports.
• Support procurement activities and subcontractor management.
• Maintain accurate commercial records and documentation.
• Work closely with project teams to ensure commercial objectives are achieved.
