Job summary

Daniel Owen Ltd is seeking an Assistant Quantity Surveyor to support commercial delivery on civil infrastructure projects around Hemel Hempstead. The role offers exposure to civils schemes up to £4m, with a competitive package including car allowance and benefits.

Ideal candidates have at least 2 years of QS experience, are proficient with Bluebeam, hold a CSCS card and a full UK driving licence, and are willing to travel to sites.

Qualifications

• Minimum 2 years' Quantity Surveying experience.
• Experience working for a contractor or subcontractor.
• Proficient with Bluebeam for take-offs and measurement.
• CSCS Card.
• Full UK driving licence and willingness to travel to sites.

Responsibilities

• Assisting with applications for payment
• Managing variation and compensation event notices and quotations
• Cost tracking and reporting
• Supporting forecasting and CVR preparation
• Producing take-offs and measurements using Bluebeam
• Assisting with material procurement
• Attending site visits and client meetings
• Maintaining project records and documentation
• Working across multiple infrastructure and civil engineering projects
