Job summary

McMullen Facades – Part of JRL Group in Carlton-on-Trent near Newark is seeking a Quality Inspector. You will join the QA team to apply and embed our established QA procedures across the production floor, ensuring drawings and specifications are met.

Training will be provided; we welcome graduates or juniors with an engineering or construction background and a proactive, detail-focused mindset. Full-time, permanent role with regular hours.

Qualifications

• Attention to detail and a methodical, reliable approach.
• Proactive attitude, keen to learn, and confident engaging with people across the factory.
• Basic IT skills and clear written/verbal communication.
• No prior inspection experience required – we will train you on our systems.

Responsibilities

• Inspect incoming materials and components against drawings and specifications.
• Carry out checks at key production stages to ensure consistency and compliance.
• Record all findings clearly, including photographic evidence and inspection reports.
• Work with production operatives and team leaders to reinforce quality standards daily.
• Flag non-conformances and help maintain smooth, consistent quality.
