Job summary

Assystem is seeking a Junior Quality Engineer in Preston to support quality assurance and control across projects in a highly regulated nuclear environment. The role is full-time and permanent or contract, with a focus on improving efficiency, reducing failures and ensuring customer specifications are met.

The successful candidate will assist in QA strategy, plan and verify quality, and contribute to learning from experience while working within a project team.

Qualifications

• Graduate in relevant discipline with experience in project delivery or similar roles.
• Relevant security clearance to inspect site areas.
• Experience reviewing and accepting Lifetime Quality Records.
• Ability to work effectively in a project team.

Responsibilities

• Assist in the delivery of projects Quality Assurance and Control Strategy.
• Plan, evaluate & verify quality, proposing improvements to ensure delivery meets customer/stakeholder requirements.
• Assist in the delivery of project portfolio quality improvement plans.
• Assist in the Learning from Experience process at the project level.
• Deploy quality assurance activities to support right first-time delivery for their area.
• Support the SSEP handover process.
