Job summary

Morgan Sindall Infrastructure is seeking a Senior Quality Engineer to lead QA/QC across projects in Cumbria, ensuring right first time delivery and compliance with contract requirements. The role involves developing QA systems, coaching teams, and coordinating with stakeholders to drive quality improvements.

The successful candidate will bring ISO 9001 auditing, CQI alignment, and a strong background in nuclear or high-risk environments, with flexibility for site-based work and travel to nearby

Qualifications

• Trained Internal or Lead Auditor to ISO 9001 (desirable).
• Practioner/Member of the CQI or working towards Practitioner level as a minimum.
• Good management skills with experience of managing a team and driving compliance.
• Experience in Nuclear Industry or similar complexity and risk.
• Background in MEICA environment (desirable).
• Experience with temporary works.

Responsibilities

• Develop, maintain, improve local management systems for effective delivery.
• Verify quality requirements are specified and complied with.
• Ensure works and materials meet contract documents and programmes.
• Interface with stakeholders to promote quality alignment.
• Assess supplier capability to meet requirements.
• Prepare quality plans and inspection plans with integrated teams.
• Review documentation including supply chain quality submissions.
• Define quality and lifetime record strategies for auditability.
• Promote Quality Policy and Right First Time delivery.
• Lead inspections, audits and investigations; share lessons learned.
