Job summary

ODIN RECRUITMENT GROUP LIMITED is seeking a Junior Quality Engineer for a hands-on manufacturing environment in Manchester. You will support the Quality Engineering team with day-to-day QA activities and help drive conformance from raw materials to finished products.

You should have at least 3 years in manufacturing quality roles, with knowledge of QMS/IMS, calibration, and product specifications. The role offers structured development and exposure to aerospace/defence industry standards.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 3 years’ experience in a manufacturing environment, ideally in a quality-related role.
• Good understanding of manufacturing quality processes, including product conformance, calibration, drawings and specifications.
• Knowledge of manufacturing principles from raw materials to finished products.
• Understanding of QMS and IMS.
• Experience in highly regulated industries such as aerospace or defence would be advantageous.
• Strong organisational skills with attention to detail.
• Competent IT and administrative skills.
• Proactive attitude and desire to develop a career in Quality Engineering.

Responsibilities

• Support the Quality Engineering team with day-to-day QA activities.
• Assist with product conformity checks and ensure compliance with customer specifications.
• Support calibration activities and maintain quality records.
• Assist with the administration and maintenance of the QMS/IMS.
• Work with manufacturing teams to maintain high quality from raw materials to finished product.
• Contribute to continual improvement initiatives and departmental projects.
