South West Recruitment Ltd seeks a Junior Quantity Surveyor / Pre-Construction Manager to join our expanding commercial team in Poole. You will gain exposure to tender preparation, cost planning, quotations, procurement, and cost reporting across commercial fit-out projects.

Qualifications

• Experience in Quantity Surveying, Estimating, or Pre-Construction (or relevant placement experience).
• A qualification in Quantity Surveying, Construction Management, or a related discipline (or be working towards one).
• Strong communication and organizational skills.
• Excellent attention to detail.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office, particularly Excel.
• A positive attitude and a willingness to learn.
• A full UK driving license (essential).

Responsibilities

• Assist with tender preparation, estimating, and cost planning.
• Support preparation of quotations and client submissions.
• Obtain and analyse subcontractor and supplier quotations.
• Assist with procurement of materials and subcontract packages.
• Help monitor project costs, variations, and budgets.
• Support commercial reporting throughout project delivery.
• Attend client meetings and site visits as required.
• Collaborate with Design, Operations, and Project Management teams.
• Maintain accurate project documentation and commercial records.
