Job summary

Hampshire Recruitment Group LTD is seeking an ambitious Assistant Project Manager near Eastbourne, East Sussex. You will support delivery of construction and infrastructure projects through pre-construction to completion, gaining exposure to planning, procurement, and site operations.

The role offers a salary of 30,000 - 40,000 plus a company car or car allowance and benefits, with structured progression into Project Management and ongoing development.

Qualifications

• A degree, HNC, HND or equivalent qualification in Construction Management, Civil Engineering, Building Studies, Quantity Surveying, Project Management or related discipline.
• Some previous construction experience through employment, placement year, internship, site engineering, project coordination, or assistant management roles.
• Strong organisational and communication skills.
• A proactive and career-driven attitude.
• Good IT skills, including Microsoft Office.
• Understanding of construction processes and project delivery.
• Full UK driving licence.

Responsibilities

• Assist with project planning and programme management.
• Coordinate subcontractors, suppliers, and site teams.
• Monitor project progress, costs, and performance.
• Support procurement and materials scheduling.
• Attend site meetings and produce project documentation.
• Assist with health, safety, and quality compliance.
• Manage project records, reports, and client correspondence.
• Support Project Managers with commercial and contractual administration.
• Help ensure projects are delivered safely, on time, and within budget.
