Your new company
A leading provider of industrial technology (software/hardware) and services to the manufacturing and critical infrastructure sectors.

Your new role
The Junior PM will join a support team of circa 40 people and report to the Technical Success Manager. You will be responsible for scoping and delivering small to medium-sized consultancy projects with end-user customers, typically 10 to 50 days in duration and up to £50,000 in value. Your role will ensure projects are delivered on time, meet customer satisfaction, and stay within budget. The ideal candidate has 3 to 4 years of customer-facing project delivery experience, with strong communication and stakeholder management skills. This is an initial 12-month FTC, with potential to become permanent, offering a progressive career path in project management.

Responsibilities

1. Manage the delivery of small and medium consultancy projects, including project documentation, risk mitigation, and issue resolution to achieve desired margins.
2. Coordinate technical resources to ensure customer satisfaction.
3. Manage stakeholders by scheduling meetings, setting agendas, and managing expectations and risks.
4. Assist with pre-sales project scoping and tender documentation, ensuring early risk identification and control.
5. Create and update project Gantt charts, plans, and reports on progress, effort, cost, and resource utilization.
6. Maintain high quality standards by adhering to consultancy processes, updating records, supporting audits, and continuous improvement.

Requirements

• Excellent organizational and customer-facing communication skills, with the ability to meet tight deadlines.
• Good knowledge of project management techniques, including project creation, labor tracking, and budget compliance.
• Experience engaging with various stakeholders such as sales, consultants, suppliers, and customers.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office and in-house tools.
• Familiarity with Microsoft Dynamics and Microsoft Business Central is desirable.
• Project Management certification (Prince2 or PMP) is preferred.
