Qualifications

• A technical, engineering, manufacturing background gained through study or practical experience.
• Good organisational skills and the ability to manage tasks and information accurately.
• Strong communication skills and confidence to work with colleagues across departments.
• Practical, proactive approach to problem-solving.
• Basic IT skills, particularly Microsoft Word and Excel.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate projects, schedules, meetings and updates across UK sites and occasional European projects.
• Assist with project documentation, cost tracking and capital expenditure requests.
• Liaise with departments to understand project requirements and support improvements.
• Maintain site drawings, technical documents and project records.
• Support contractor coordination and learn site safety procedures, risk assessments and permits to work.
• Assist with troubleshooting and identifying practical solutions to problems.
• Monitor progress against timescales and budgets with guidance from the Engineering Manager.

The Opportunity

We're working with an established manufacturing business looking for a Junior Project Manager to join its Projects & Facilities team.

This is an excellent opportunity for someone with an engineering, technical or manufacturing background who is keen to develop their project management skills. Working alongside an experienced Engineering Manager, you'll support a variety of site improvement, facilities and capital investment projects, gaining hands-on experience and taking on more responsibility as your confidence and skills grow.

You don't need to be an experienced Project Manager. The business is looking for someone with a practical mindset, good organisational skills and the enthusiasm to learn.

The Role

You'll work closely with the Engineering Manager and wider teams to help coordinate projects, keep activities on track and ensure information is accurate and up to date.

Your responsibilities will include:

• Supporting engineering, facilities and site improvement projects across UK sites, with occasional European projects.

About You
