Kids Planet Day Nurseries Ltd. is seeking a Junior Press & Communications Officer to support reactive and reputation-based communications.

Working with the PR & Communications Manager, the role focuses on crisis response, record-keeping and developing positive stories to bolster proactive PR and brand storytelling. The role is hands-on, fast-paced and suited to someone highly organised and responsive, with a view to developing a career in PR and communications.

Qualifications

• Experience in PR, communications or marketing.
• Strong writing skills with the ability to adapt tone.
• Calm, organised and responsive in time-sensitive situations.
• High level of discretion and professionalism.
• Strong attention to detail and organisational skills.
• Proactive and willing to learn in a fast-paced environment.
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Reactive & Crisis Communications Support and management.
• Draft holding statements, media responses and internal communications.
• Monitor issues, media enquiries and escalation points with timely responses.
• Maintain crisis logs, trackers and documentation with accuracy.
• Coordinate responses across internal stakeholders during sensitive situations.
• Collaborate with external PR agency to shape stories and manage enquiries.
• Identify and develop positive news stories from nurseries and central teams.
• Write engaging content including blogs, case studies, newsletters and features.
• Support delivery of internal communications across channels.
• Ensure content aligns with brand tone and guidelines.
• Assist with content planning and scheduling.
• Support workload management for the PR & Communications Manager.
