Job summary

The Opportunity Hub UK, an arts PR agency in central London near Charing Cross, is seeking a Junior PR Account Executive. The role supports creative campaigns for theatre, entertainment, and visual arts, and builds journalist relationships.

Ideal candidates have 6 months’ PR agency experience and a 2:1 degree in English/History or related field. The position is fully office-based for the probation period, then hybrid with 4 days in-office and 1 day remote.

Responsibilities

  • Building and maintaining media contact databases to support strategic media outreach.
  • Assisting with the planning and delivery of PR campaigns across print, digital, broadcast, and social media.
  • Developing trusted relationships with journalists, influencers, and clients.
  • Writing engaging press releases, media alerts, briefing documents, and campaign materials.
  • Providing regular campaign updates and reports to clients, demonstrating campaign performance and value.
  • Proofreading and editing written materials to ensure accuracy and consistency.
  • Co-ordinating press nights, launch events, media photo calls, and other client events.
  • Monitoring media coverage and analysing campaign performance.
  • Supporting the smooth running of the team through effective administration and file management.
  • Managing agency social media channels and contributing creative campaign content.
  • Participating in brainstorming sessions and contributing ideas for future campaigns.

Job Overview
This Junior PR Account Executive opportunity is ideal for a graduate or someone with at least6 months of experience within a London-based PR agencywho is looking to develop their career in one of the UK's most exciting PR sectors.

As a Junior PR Account Executive, you will support the delivery of creative PR campaigns, build relationships with journalists and clients, create engaging content, and help promote some of the UK's most exciting theatre productions, arts organisations, and live entertainment events.

Working alongside experienced PR professionals, the Junior PR Account Executive will gain hands on experience across media relations, event management, campaign planning, and client communications while developing the skills needed for a successful career in public relations.

Location:Charing Cross, London
Salary:£27,000 per annum
Working Pattern:Full Time
Office Arrangement:Fully office based during the first 6 months' probation.Following successful completion of probation, the role will operate on a hybrid basis with 4 days per week in the office and 1 day working from home.The working from home day rotates each week and is not a fixed day.

  • A minimum of a2:1 degree (or equivalent) in English, History, or a related discipline from a leading UK university
  • A graduate or someone with a minimum of6 months of experience within a London-based PR agency
  • A genuine passion for arts, theatre, entertainment, and culture is essential
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills with outstanding attention to detail
  • Strong writing skills with the ability to produce engaging and accurate content
  • Good understanding of the UK media landscape and enthusiasm for building journalist relationships
