Job summary

mbf is recruiting a Junior Paraplanner to join a national financial planning organisation with offices across the UK. You will provide administrative and lower-level paraplanning support to Senior Paraplanners and Financial Planners, gaining exposure across the financial planning process.

You will develop technical knowledge through structured training and on-the-job experience, with opportunities to study towards the Diploma in Financial Planning and progress within the business.

Qualifications

• Experience within financial services, ideally within an IFA, financial planning or wealth management environment.
• Exposure to paraplanning, financial planning administration or a similar role.
• Interest in developing a long-term career within financial planning.
• Strong attention to detail and excellent organisational skills.

Responsibilities

• Providing administrative and lower-level paraplanning support to Senior Paraplanners and Financial Planners.
• Assisting with the preparation of financial planning and client documentation.
• Supporting the preparation of suitability reports and recommendations.
• Undertaking research and analysis as required.

The Role

As a Junior Paraplanner, you will work closely with Senior Paraplanners and Financial Planners, supporting the delivery of a high-quality service to clients.

About You

Our client is open to candidates at different stages of their career and would ideally suit someone who is already working as a Junior or Trainee Paraplanner and has gained some experience undertaking paraplanning duties.

They would also consider an experienced Senior IFA Administrator who has completed some RO exams or similar qualifications and is now looking to move into a paraplanning position and take the next step in their career.

You will ideally have:

• Some experience within financial services, ideally within an IFA, financial planning or wealth management environment.
• Exposure to paraplanning, financial planning administration or a similar role.
• An interest in developing a long-term career within financial planning.
• Strong attention to detail and excellent organisational skills.
• Good written and verbal communication skills.
• A professional and client-focused approach.
• A willingness to study towards further professional qualifications.
