Job summary

mbf in London is seeking a Junior Paraplanner to support advisers and help deliver high-quality financial planning and client service. The role offers hybrid working with three days in the office and clear potential for progression into a permanent position.

Key responsibilities include preparing SOS, producing reports for various transactions, assisting onboarding, and maintaining compliant files while supporting data management and post-meeting tasks.

Qualifications

  • 2-3 years of experience within financial services, paraplanning or adviser support.
  • Strong report writing and excellent attention to detail.
  • Understanding of pensions, investments and financial planning products.
  • Organised, proactive, and able to manage multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment.
  • Experience with Xplan CRM is desirable.
  • Industry qualifications (e.g. CII Level 4 Diploma) desirable but not essential.

Responsibilities

  • Prepare SOS following client meetings and ensure timely completion of review documentation.
  • Produce new business reports for ISA/GIA top-ups, pension transfers, fund switches and withdrawals.
  • Assist in client onboarding and new business processing using CRM systems (Xplan).
  • Maintain accurate and compliant advisory files and documentation.
  • Act as a point of contact for clients, providing updates and handling queries.
  • Support data management, adviser pipeline and post-meeting tasks.
  • Contribute to operational improvements across systems like Xplan.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Prepare Statements of Suitability (SOS) following client meetings and ensure timely completion of review documentation.
  • Produce new business reports for ISA/GIA top-ups, pension transfers, fund switches, and withdrawals.
  • Assist in client onboarding and new business processing using CRM systems (Xplan).
  • Maintain accurate and compliant advice files and ensure the highest standards of documentation and service.
  • Act as a point of contact for clients, providing updates and handling queries.
  • Support with data management, adviser pipeline, and post-meeting tasks.
  • Contribute to operational improvements and process enhancements across systems like Xplan.

What We’re Looking For:

  • 2-3 years of experience within financial services, ideally in paraplanning or adviser support.
  • Strong report writing and excellent attention to detail.
  • A solid understanding of pensions, investments, and financial planning products.
  • Organised, proactive, and capable of managing multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment.
  • Comfortable using Microsoft Office and CRM systems (experience with Xplan is highly desirable).
  • Industry qualifications (e.g. CII Level 4 Diploma in Financial Planning) are desirable but not essential.
