Junior Operations Analysts (JOA) work in the Command Centre, providing 24/7 Level 1/2 infrastructure monitoring support for all Kingfisher banners. This critical role involves incident management, identifying and reporting issues on live applications, and performing initial problem diagnosis and recovery, escalating to specialized teams as necessary.

What’s the job
  1. Work 12-hour shifts (24x7) managing IT services per Kingfisher policies.
  2. Monitor IT production services across Kingfisher PLC brands.
  3. Collaborate with experienced team members to develop business knowledge and skills.
  4. Show interest in retail trends, especially online customer needs.
  5. Resolve production incidents following established procedures and coordinate with technical teams for complex issues.
  6. Build effective relationships with colleagues for seamless operations.
  7. Maintain general knowledge of IT tools like Microsoft Windows and MS Excel.
  8. Communicate effectively, both verbally and in writing.
  9. Quickly learn new skills.
  10. Focus on customer needs and work under pressure effectively.
  11. Work well in a team, demonstrating good organizational and time management skills.
  12. Be reliable, conscientious, and hold good GCSE grades, especially in English & Math. An IT qualification is advantageous.
  13. Shift timings: Days 07:30-19:30, Nights 19:30-07:30, with overtime opportunities.
