Job summary

Kpler in London is seeking a Junior Data Quality Analyst to safeguard the accuracy, completeness, and reliability of its global commodity market data, with a focus on Oil Market Data. You will monitor data health metrics, identify anomalies, and build dashboards that empower decision-makers.

You will work cross-functionally across Data Operations, Data Engineers and BI teams while exploring AI-driven tools to streamline validation and analysis, driving automation and improved data quality across

Qualifications

• 1–2 years in a data-focused role or internship (e.g., Data Analysis, BI, or Data Science).
• Bachelor’s degree (or higher) in a quantitative field such as Economics, CS, Statistics, Business, or equivalent practical experience.
• Solid foundational SQL skills to query, filter, aggregate, and join complex tables.
• Practical familiarity with Python, GitHub, and spreadsheet tools (Excel or Google Sheets).
• Working experience with modern BI visualization tools such as Looker, Tableau, or Power BI.
• Meticulous attention to detail with end-to-end ownership of data accuracy.

Responsibilities

• Monitor data quality KPIs across multiple systems to detect inconsistencies, anomalies, and gaps, escalating critical issues to protect global commodity data reliability.
• Design, deploy, and maintain dynamic BI dashboards and reports for stakeholders with clear data health insights.
• Utilize SQL and BI software to investigate datasets, identify patterns, and resolve data quality challenges.
• Drive process automation and AI integration to streamline data validation workflows.
• Collaborate cross-functionally with Data Operations, Data Engineers, and BI teams to align data quality standards with business needs.
• Conduct root-cause investigations and deliver swift, accurate data analysis to support decision-making.
