Job summary

Kpler is seeking a Junior Data Quality Analyst in the United Kingdom to safeguard the accuracy and reliability of Oil Market Data. You will monitor data health, build dashboards, and collaborate across Data Operations, Data Engineers, and BI teams.

Proficiency in SQL, Python, and BI tools is essential, with an eye for automation and AI-driven enhancements. The role focuses on cross-functional data quality initiatives, supporting decision-makers with reliable insights and scalable validation

Qualifications

• 1–2 years of hands-on experience in a data-focused role (e.g., Data Analysis, BI, or Data Science).
• Bachelor’s degree in a quantitative field such as Economics, Computer Science, Statistics, Business, or equivalent practical experience.
• Solid foundational SQL skills to query, filter, aggregate, and join complex tables.
• Practical familiarity with Python, GitHub, and spreadsheet tools (Excel or Google Sheets).
• Working experience with modern BI visualisation tools such as Looker, Tableau, or Power BI.
• Meticulous attention to detail, strong problem-solving skills, and end-to-end ownership of data accuracy.

Responsibilities

• Monitor data quality KPIs across multiple systems to detect inconsistencies, anomalies, and gaps.
• Design, deploy, and maintain dynamic BI dashboards and reports for data health insights.
• Utilize SQL and BI software to investigate datasets, discover patterns, and resolve data quality challenges.
• Drive process automation and AI integration to streamline data validation workflows.
• Collaborate cross-functionally with Data Operations, Data Engineers, and BI teams.
• Conduct root-cause investigations and deliver swift, accurate data analyses for operations.
