Job summary

YMCA Black Country Group is seeking a passionate Junior Nursery Manager to lead our thriving nursery, providing exceptional care and education for children aged 6 weeks to 5 years. You will work closely with the Senior Leadership Team to support daily operations, inspire and develop staff, and create a safe, nurturing, and inclusive environment that meets EYFS and Ofsted requirements.

  • Experience leading an early years setting
  • Strong knowledge of EYFS framework and safeguarding
  • Proven ability to support staff development and performance
  • Ability to collaborate with Senior Leadership to drive quality and growth

Responsibilities

  • Lead day-to-day running of the nursery to ensure high-quality care and education
  • Inspire and develop staff while maintaining safeguarding, health & safety and compliance
  • Work with the Senior Leadership Team to implement policies and drive nursery growth
  • Engage families to support positive outcomes for children aged 6 weeks to 5 years
  • Ensure Ofsted readiness and effective administration of nursery operations

YMCA Black Country Group is looking for a passionate and motivated Junior Nursery Manager to lead our thriving nursery, providing

exceptional care and education for children aged 6 weeks to 5 years. Working closely with the Senior Leadership Team, you will

support the day-to-day running of the nursery, inspire and develop staff, and create a safe, nurturing, stimulating, and

inclusiveenvironment that meets the requirements of the EYFS and Ofsted. You will play a key role in maintaining the highest

standards of safeguarding, teaching and learning, compliance and family engagement, health & safety, staffing ratios, and

administration while also supporting the nursery's continued growth and success.
