Job summary

Ernest Gordon Recruitment Limited is working with a Wellington, Taunton site to appoint a Junior Multi Skilled Maintenance Engineer. You will receive hands-on training across production machinery and site equipment while working with experienced engineers to keep machinery running safely and efficiently.

This role covers planned preventative maintenance, breakdowns, repairs and installations. A mechanical bias with a manufacturing background is ideal, and you will enjoy Monday to Friday hours

Qualifications

• Junior Maintenance Engineer, Trainee Maintenance Engineer or Apprentice Engineer.
• Mechanically biased with an interest in manufacturing or production machinery.
• Commutable to Wellington.

Responsibilities

Are you a Junior Maintenance Engineer, Trainee Maintenance Engineer, Apprentice Engineer, or similar with a mechanical bias and an interest in building a career in a manufacturing environment, with an established company offering excellent training and the chance to develop into a skilled Maintenance Engineer?

In this varied role, you will perform planned preventative maintenance, breakdowns, repairs, machinery installations, and general maintenance tasks across production machinery and site equipment. You will be trained on the company's specialist machinery while working closely with production teams and senior engineers to minimise downtime and support the smooth running of the site.

This role would suit someone with mechanical experience or a manufacturing background who is looking for a Monday to Friday role, training, uncapped overtime at enhanced rates, and the opportunity to build a long‑term career as a Maintenance Engineer.
