Overview

This role involves supporting actuarial functions within reinsurance, including data preparation, model population, and contributing to team activities.

Key Responsibilities:

• Prepare data and consult with actuaries and brokers
• Populate actuarial templates – experience and exposure models
• Contribute to team meetings and uphold team ethos
• Deliver actuarial work clearly and adhere to peer review and compliance standards
• Build and maintain relationships with colleagues, reinsurers, and clients to support new business development
• Assist in project or client work using team resources
• Sit the Institute of Actuaries exams, or be open to candidates not pursuing exams

Qualifications required:

• Bachelor’s degree in actuarial science, Economics, Math, Statistics, or related field
• Some exemptions to actuarial exams; consideration given to those not pursuing exams

Experience required:

• Experience in pricing, reserving, or capital modelling
• Coding skills in Python, R, SQL, VBA, or similar platforms
