Job summary

Glite is building an ML-powered tutoring platform in London and seeks a Junior ML Engineer to join the growing team. You will work with vast data from language tests, develop new features, and help predict student knowledge and optimal task sequencing.

You’ll collaborate with backend engineers and product managers, create end-to-end ML pipelines, and fine-tune models for performance and scalability while learning across languages.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s or master’s degree in CS/Data Science or equivalent practical ML experience.
• Knowledge of ML algorithms and metrics.
• Understanding of neural networks, CNNs, RNNs, and transformers.
• Knowledge of NLP algorithms.
• Experience building automated ML pipelines.
• Strong Python knowledge.
• Experience with Pandas and NumPy.
• Multilingual capability or learning multiple languages.
• End-to-end ML experience from data cleaning to monitoring.
• Understanding CI/CD and automation for model deployment.
• Experience with reinforcement learning.
• Knowledge-sharing through talks, articles, or videos.

Responsibilities

• Work with a vast amount of unique data from language tests.
• Create new dictionaries and support multilingual expansion.
• Analyze diverse data from media such as movies, books, and songs.
• Collaborate with backend engineers and product managers.
• Create new tests for language learners and build prediction models.
• Fine-tune ML models for performance, scalability, and accuracy.
