The role focuses on preparing vinyls for cutting machines and gaining exposure to other production processes. You will contribute to quality and efficiency while learning on the job.

Are you passionate about hands-on work and looking for an exciting opportunity to develop skills in a vibrant industry? We are seeking a motivated Junior Manufacturing Operator ( Weekends) to join our team and play a vital role in our production process. In this role, you’ll be an integral part of the team, primarily focused on preparing Vinyls for the cutting machines. There may also be opportunities to learn and work with other machinery and production processes. You will also focus on quality, problem-solving skills and dedication will help us maintain the highest production standards. In this role, you’ll work part-time on weekends, covering 16 hours across Saturday and Sunday on the day shift. Initial onboarding and training will take place on a weekday.

We aim to provide reasonable notice of shift allocations and do our best to accommodate preferences where possible.

Responsibilities

• Hands-On Training: Learn to operate and maintain a variety of equipment and machinery used in our production process.
• Quality Assurance: Monitor the production process, inspect materials and products for quality, and make precise adjustments to ensure top-notch results.
• Problem Solving: Troubleshoot and resolve any operational issues, minimising downtime and ensuring efficient production.
• Process Management: Follow established manufacturing processes and maintain accurate records of production jobs, materials used, and any issues encountered.
• Team Collaboration: Work closely with our production team to prioritise and fulfil production orders promptly, contributing to the timely delivery of products.
• Inventory Management: Help organise and manage supplies and materials to keep the production line running smoothly.
• Career Development: Earn relevant qualifications and certifications as you grow in your role, with opportunities for further skill development and career advancement.

• GCSE English and Maths at Grade 4 (C) or above.
• A genuine interest in manufacturing or production, with a willingness to learn and develop new skills on the job.
• A strong work ethic demonstrated in a warehouse or other working environments, including retail, hospitality, or similar roles.

Work Location

This role is fully onsite at our vibrant Elstree office (WD6), part-time on weekends, covering 16 hours across Saturday and Sunday with initial training at Elstree and long-term at other future production locations such as Hemel Hempstead.
