elasticStage Ltd. in Kings Cross, London, is seeking a Finance Operations and Strategy Manager to build the finance function for a 10x scale, AI-native future. You will design backwards from how finance should operate at scale, creating driver-based models, budgeting processes and a robust funding strategy.

The role partners with commercial, product, factory operations and engineering to drive strategic projects and provide decentralised financial visibility across the business.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of experience including top-tier strategy consulting (MBB or equivalent).
• Strong finance and modelling skills with driver-based models.
• Proven ability to run value creation projects end-to-end autonomously.
• Experience budgeting, FP&A, variance analysis, working capital, procurement.
• Experience defining KPI frameworks and dashboards; SQL familiarity a plus.

Responsibilities

• Set up finance operating model end-to-end for 10x scale, AI-native.
• Build driver-based models feeding OKRs and revenue/margin metrics.
• Manage funding strategy across equity, debt and R&D grants.
• Design and run the first formal budgeting process.
• Lead finance strategy for multi-market ecommerce and manufacturing, incl. tax and ERP.
• Oversee ~£15M+ annual CAPEX deployment for new facilities and R&D.
• Develop inventory models for raw materials, WIP and finished goods.
• Build structured procurement across hardware, software and materials.
• Make finance AI-native with guardrails for company-wide budgets.
• Own cross-functional strategic finance projects like pricing.

We are seeking a Finance Operations and Strategy Manager to help us redefine the physical and digital music industry. elasticStage is building the world’s first on-demand vinyl and CD platform, unlocking physical music for the Digital Creator era. By 2030, there will be over 250 million music creators globally, most locked out of physical formats due to high minimum runs and operational complexity. elasticStage solves this through patented on-demand vinyl and CD manufacturing technology, powering a free-to-use platform where creators can produce and sell physical releases worldwide with no upfront costs or minimum quantities.

As Finance Operations and Strategy Manager, you will set up how elasticStage runs financially end-to-end in a future-back, AI-native way. You will design backwards from how the finance function should operate at 10x scale, then build what is needed to get us there.

elasticStage is building the future of on-demand physical music manufacturing and fulfilment, scaling through a capital-intensive model that deploys over £15M annually in state-of-the-art facilities, automation, manufacturing machines and R&D to bring our factory of the future to life. This will be driven by a strong finance function. This role is an opportunity to drive the company's top priority strategic projects, partnering closely with commercial, product, factory operations and engineering.

The role builds the financial backbone, capital deployment processes and decentralised financial visibility that allow every area of the business to act as financial partners. You will own elasticStage’s driver-based financial models, budgeting process, funding strategy across equity, grants, and debt, CAPEX deployment, among other strategic projects.

You will also help build an AI-native finance infrastructure that lets anyone in the company interact with budgets and financial data within the right guardrails and access permissions.

We value intellectual curiosity, a strong builder mindset and practical experimentation. You will be as comfortable building a driver-based model or running a fundraising process as you are prototyping AI-powered financial workflows.

Responsibilities

• Set up elasticStage’s finance operating model end-to-end in a future-back, AI-native way, designing for how finance should run at 10x scale and building the models, processes and infrastructure to get there.
• Build the backbone set of driver-based financial models that feed directly into OKRs and the operating cadence, connecting unit-level production to company-wide revenue, gross margin, contribution margin and EBITDA outcomes.
• Build and execute the company’s funding strategy across equity, machine and venture debt and R&D grants.
• Design and run elasticStage’s first formal budgeting process.
• Build and implement the finance strategy for multi-market ecommerce and multi-site manufacturing including tax and technology (payments, payout, currency settlement, ERP and inventory systems).
• Build the investment deployment and tracking process for ~£15M+ of annual CAPEX spending across new factory facilities, R&D, machinery, hardware, materials and software.
• Put in place key inventory models covering raw materials (vinyl blanks, plastics), work-in-progress and finished goods, building the working capital discipline.
• Build a structured procurement process across hardware, software and manufacturing materials.
• Make finance AI-native: build the infrastructure and guardrails so every team in the business can interact with budgets and financial data in a decentralised and automate repetitive finance processes.
• Take on cross-functional strategic finance projects without a natural owner as they come up (example: pricing).

Core Finance & Strategic Experience

• 5+ years of experience, including a strong foundation in top-tier strategy consulting (MBB or equivalent).
• Strong foundation in finance and top-tier financial modelling skills, with a track record of building driver-based models
• Demonstrated ability to run value creation projects end-to-end autonomously: opportunity generation, sizing, prioritisation, plan design and execution.
• Comfort with the operational side of finance: budgeting, FP&A, variance analysis, working capital management, procurement.
• Comfort owning data and metrics infrastructure: defining KPI frameworks, building dashboards, working directly with data tools. SQL familiarity is a plus.

• Strong analytical capability, with experience translating ambiguous business questions into structured analyses, clear recommendations and operational decisions.
• Demonstrates curiosity to increase technical leverage over time, using AI tools to accelerate prototyping, automation and iteration, including building the workflows yourself
• Comfortable operating in ambiguity with a bias toward action, excited to build and scale new ways of working from the ground up.
• Strong communicator who can "lead without authority" and mobilise technical and non-technical stakeholders, from individual contributors to the CEO, around priorities and trade-offs.
