Job summary

Card Factory plc in Wakefield is offering an entry-level role in finance, providing hands-on experience across core accounting activities within a growing retail business.

You'll work closely with the Finance Business Partner and wider team, supporting management accounting, reporting and day‑to‑day finance operations while developing your skills. The role includes study support towards ACCA or CIMA, plus mentoring and clear career progression pathways.

Qualifications

• A degree in Finance, Accounting or a related subject.
• Strong analytical skills and attention to detail.
• Confidence using Excel and working with data.
• Ability to manage priorities in a fast-paced environment.
• Proactive and organised approach with a curiosity about the business behind the numbers.
• Desire to study ACCA/CIMA and progress your career over the next 2-3 years.

Responsibilities

• Process sales and supplier invoices, payroll and expense reimbursements, and VAT-related transactions.
• Support financial reporting, balance sheet reconciliations, month-end activities, budgeting and forecasting.
• Collaborate with colleagues across the business to keep financial processes accurate and efficient.
