Job summary

CV Technical Limited in the UK is hiring a Junior Maintenance Engineer for a Bury-based site. You will assist with planned preventative maintenance and reactive repairs, learn to troubleshoot mechanical and electrical faults, and support conveyors, bearings, belts, and other production equipment.

Qualifications

• Previous engineering experience or a basic engineering background.
• An interest in mechanical and electrical maintenance.
• An engineering qualification, apprenticeship or relevant practical experience would be advantageous.
• A hands-on approach with a willingness to learn.
• Good problem-solving skills and a positive attitude.

Responsibilities

• Assisting with planned preventative maintenance (PPM) and reactive maintenance.
• Supporting the engineering team with machinery breakdowns and fault finding.
• Learning to identify and resolve basic mechanical and electrical faults.
• Assisting with the maintenance of conveyors, bearings, belts, chains and other production equipment.
• Supporting the installation, repair and servicing of machinery.
• Following all site health and safety procedures.
• Working alongside experienced engineers to develop practical maintenance skills.
