Job summary

Liverpool City Council is seeking a Junior M365 Developer to join our Digital Technology Team and support the delivery, maintenance and improvement of Microsoft 365 solutions across the council.

You will work with Power Apps, Power Automate, Power BI, SharePoint Online and Microsoft Teams to build, test and support solutions, with opportunities to learn broader technical skills within an experienced team.

Responsibilities

• Support M365 development activity – Help design, build, test and maintain Microsoft 365 solutions that meet user and service needs
• Develop and improve applications – Work with Power Apps, Power Automate, Power BI, SharePoint Online and Microsoft Teams to support new and existing solutions
• Follow agreed standards – Apply development, testing, security and governance standards, asking for guidance where needed
• Support and maintain existing solutions – Investigate issues, support fixes and contribute to improvements that make M365 solutions reliable, consistent and easy to maintain
• Work with others – Collaborate with developers, business analysts, testers, ICT colleagues and service areas to understand requirements and support successful delivery
• Learn and develop – Build your skills through hands‑on experience, feedback and support from experienced developers and technical leads
• You’ll help develop and support Microsoft 365 solutions used across Liverpool City Council
• You’ll gain hands‑on experience with Power Apps, Power Automate, Power BI, SharePoint Online and Microsoft Teams
• You’ll be supported to learn, develop and grow your technical skills within an experienced development team
• You’ll contribute to digital transformation work that helps improve services for residents and staff
• You’ll work in a collaborative team where curiosity, problem solving and continuous improvement are valued
