Harmony Fire Ltd. is recruiting a Junior M&E Designer to join the M&E Pre-Construction team in London.

You will support the design and specification of fire safety systems, producing drawings, design packages and technical documentation for tender submissions nationwide. This early-career role offers development under experienced engineers, with exposure to fire alarm, emergency lighting, sprinklers and related M&E works, contributing to safer buildings and residents across the UK.

Qualifikationen

• Ambitious, high-standards mindset with ownership and accuracy.
• Background in M&E design or building services engineering.
• Proficient in AutoCAD; BIM tools like Revit are advantageous.
• Solid understanding of mechanical and electrical building services.
• Knowledge of relevant British Standards for M&E fire safety systems.
• Great attention to drawing production and data management.
• Organised, proactive and able to meet deadlines.
• Good communicator, able to work with engineers and estimators.
• Degree or HNC/HND in related discipline preferred.
• London office-based with willingness to travel nationwide.

Aufgaben

• Produce M&E design drawings and schematics for fire safety systems using CAD/BIM.
• Assist senior designers in design packages, specs and tender docs.
• Prepare equipment and cable schedules for tenders and handovers.
• Review client specs and architectural/structural drawings to inform designs.
• Support site surveys and pre-construction work; capture site information.
• Ensure outputs comply with BS standards and client requirements.
• Maintain drawing registers and design file organisation.
• Coordinate with estimating and pre-construction teams for scope alignment.
• Contribute to O&M documentation and design handover packs.
• Develop knowledge of M&E fire safety systems and processes.
